Wordpress on Image click change shortcode

I wonder if this can be done at all. But here it goes.

A the top of a wordpress page I have a shortcode which displays a slider.

Then under that I have some thumbnail images.

I would like to be able to display a different slider each time I click in a different thumbnail.

For example:

If I have 2 sliders ... each will have it's own shortcode.

Say I create Slider1 and Slider2 and 2 thumbnails TH1 and TH2

At the top of the page I would have [slider1] ...if I then clicked in TH2 [slider2] slider would show.

Is this sort of thing possible? I know I could use JQuery to change the shortcode text but would it reload the slider at runtime?

Any advice of this?
